Alli and Ian first met at work in the office in July 2024. When Alli walked in on her first day, she couldn't help but notice her cubicle was right next to the cutest guy - Ian. She was somewhat flirtatious but played it cool at the same time, not wanting to scare him away at first. After realizing he was not too impressed with her flirting skills and didn't pay her much attention, Alli decided to take a little break. Ian was going on a trip abroad for a few weeks and Alli would be on the road for work.

When they got back from their travels, Alli decided to pick up where she left off, but this time upped her game. She noticed Ian never sat in his chair at work; more often he would utilize his standing desk. When talking to her coworkers each morning (who were closer to Ian's desk in proximity), Alli decided to start teasing Ian for his chair each day and asking if she could use it to sit down and talk to her coworkers. It took some time, but eventually this sparked more conversation between the two.

Fast forward to September 2024, Ian was playing in a charity golf tournament for work. Alli was meeting her manager at the office the morning of the tournament so they could ride to the event together. Ian would be working from home the next day and had forgotten his mouse at work. He asked Alli's manager to grab it that morning, knowing she was going to the office first. Alli's manager asked Alli to be the one to grab Ian's mouse and bring it to him at the tournament. Luckily for Alli, Ian had his work number written on his whiteboard at work.. Alli took it upon herself to text Ian that she had his mouse and would give it to him once they arrived at the venue for the charity tournament. This little gesture is what sparked more conversation between Alli and Ian, and from that first text, the conversation just kept going. 3 days turned into 2 weeks, which turned into a month.

The two started dating in October 2024 and spent much of their time together. Their first date was a golf date at the range, which was fitting because prior to the charity tournament, Alli would pester Ian about teaching her golf. During this date, at one point, Ian had very kindly asked Alli if it was okay to touch and reposition her hands on the club to show her how to change her grip. Alli remembers being so taken aback by Ian asking this, as it was a very sweet and gentlemanly question to ask. This small gesture showed Alli the kind of man Ian truly was- thoughtful, kind, and sincere. After this kind act, along with many others, Alli just knew deep in her heart Ian would be her forever person, and that was the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
